Tammy's Mom and my Mom were good friends during their pregnancies with us. Tammy and I played together as babies, and used to be friends when we got older.

I'll never forget the time when my grandmother was making caramel apples one day, and Tammy, for whatever reason, took the sticks and ran them under the faucet. My grandmother was SO mad! LOL

She used to take violin lessons, too, and she let me try it out and warned me to NOT spit on the violin. (like I would spit on something? LOLOL)

Tammy was a beautiful girl, a great student and I cried for days when my Dad came by and told me she had passed away.

I stop by her gravesite now and then, just to say hi. I still wave to her parents when I pass the house...and I still to this day can't believe she's gone from us.

Love you, Tam.

I remember playing Barbie dolls with Tammy and going to her dad's diner - Chip's - after school for pierogies. (I wish they knew how to make those in California!)

I was shocked and saddened when I heard what had happened from my brother, who still resides in Northampton. I was in disbelief, and still am even after all these years have passed.

I hope she is resting in peace.
